When you enter the villa, you begin to relax. The first thing that hits you is the space, from the expansive living area, to the generous separate kitchen, the bright, roomy landing, right up to the large bedrooms. Our villa has it all: space, comfort & everything you need (plus extras) to make your holiday wonderful. There are spectacular views of 2 bays and olive tree-covered hills and it's only a 15 minute stroll to Kalkan's charming centre, harbour & beach. The villa is part of a small, exclusive complex of privately owned properties. The friendly, on-site staff are there to help with your needs, plus there's 24 hour security.
The villa has 3 attractive, sea-facing bedrooms (all en-suite), with direct access to either veranda or roof terrace, with its shaded Ottoman area and panoramic views of the sea and surrounding hills. The master bedroom has a super kingsize bed and an en-suite jacuzzi bath. The second double room has a super kingsize bed and an en-suite shower room. There is also a twin room with en-suite shower room. All bedrooms have orthopaedic mattresses, clock radio, mosquito nets, insect screens, hairdryers and plug adaptors. The villa is air-conditioned throughout, plus there is a wood-burning stove, should you stay during colder months. We pride ourselves on making holidaying with young ones as easy as possible. We offer 2 cots (1 permanent, 1 travel), highchair, changing mat, potty and even a blender for making baby food. For the 2008 season, we are trying to make the villa even more child-friendly, by adding window & door limiters, child locks on cupboard doors, etc.
The roof terrace has a private cushioned ottoman area with covered pergola. The villa is south facing, so you can enjoy a coffee watching the sun rise over Kalkan Bay or sip a cocktail watching the sun set over Kalamar Bay. The spacious living area has plenty of comfortable seating, including 2 double sofabeds. There is also an indoor dining area for cooler months. For indoor entertainment, there is an LCD Satellite TV, DVD player (with a wide selection of adult and children's DVDs), stereo, board games and books. Two sets of French doors open onto the patio area. The modern kitchen has a breakfast bar & is equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, kettle, liquidiser, hand blender, citrus juicer, watercooler, oven & hob. It has direct access onto the patio area. There is also a downstairs WC.
The villa has its own private pool (no shallow end), set in a pleasant patio with sun loungers, parasols, dining area with ceiling fan above, outdoor shower and BBQ. The outside is littered with colourful and fragrant plants, such as prolific bougainvilleas, hibiscus, and trees including orange, plum and banana! The smell of orange blossom in the spring is hypnotic! There is even a grape vine on the roof terrace.
The property is situated at the front of a small select development of privately owned apartments and villas, which have all been built to the same high specifications. Guests are welcome to make use of the wonderful facilities at the nearby Elixir and Asfiya Hotels. Here you will find glorious pools, jacuzzis, bars and restaurants. You can also book a traditional Turkish massage & steam bath!
The property is ideally located on the quiet outskirts of the picturesque and unspoilt village of Kalkan, yet it's only a 15 minute stroll to the centre and nearest beach (which is rarely crowded). For more information on nearby beaches and beach clubs, visit our 'Sun n Sea' page.
The beauty of our villa is that it has the best of both worlds: your own private residence with pool, yet you benefit from the excellent services on site, including a member of staff to greet you and help with your every need. 24-hour security, maintenance and maid service (including linens) are also included. Parking is directly outside the villa.
We are happy to arrange airport transfers and car hire in Turkey. We use a very reputable and competitive local firm. We can also make enquiries regarding flights on your behalf. Just let us know the dates, number of adult & child passengers, and the preferred departure airport(s).
